John provides advice on his clients' key commercial relationships with stakeholders, business partners, customers and clients. His practice also centres on acquisitions and disposals involving both public and private companies.
John specialises in advising entrepreneurial growth companies, with particular experience in telecoms, technology, media, entertainment and sports. He also advises a range of professional service firms such as management consultancies, advertising and media firms and accountancy practices. John also advises on the commercial or structural aspects of joint ventures involving LLPs or limited companies.
John was recommended in the Media and Entertainment category of the annual law firm guide, The UK Legal 500 2009.

- Representing a range of individuals and companies in the entertainment industry, including the organisers of London's largest independent annual music festival; internationally renowned musicians; artist managers and large-scale event companies.
- Acting on the sale of football clubs in Italy and Czech Republic and advising on the sale of an English football club. He also advises on contractual arrangements for football players and agents.
- Acting for a telecoms Plc on strategic acqusitions and numerous telecoms-related commercial contracts with suppliers such as O2, BT and Cable & Wireless and to customers for hosted telephony and framework agreements with large clients such as Workspace Group and Fujifilm for multi-site provision of voice and data services.
- Advising a large property company, an unquoted Plc, on its acquisition and subsequent sale of a group of companies with nationwide commercial portfolios for over £20 million and regularly advising on property joint ventures and investment funds.
- Advising a range of fast-growth technology entities including a Californian nanotechnology research company, a European provider of green screen applications for tourist attractions and one of the world's leading manufacturers and distributors of digital live sound mixing consoles which provides equipment to many of the world's largest music events.
- Long term adviser to a group of companies which provides procurement consultancy to large multinationals.
Career:
John qualified at Wallace in 1998. He became a partner in 2003.
