Wallace receives strong recognition in the Legal 500 Rankings 2023

The Legal 500 United Kingdom 2023 rankings have been published and Wallace continues its success, being ranked in six practice areas for the London region.

Wallace is recommended by Legal 500, 2023 in the following practice areas: Banking Litigation: Investment & Retail; Commercial Litigation (mid-market); Property Litigation; Corporate M&A – smaller deals up to £50m; TMT (IT & Telecoms); and Employment (Employers).

A total of 12 lawyers, being approximately 40% of the Firm’s fee earners in ranked practice areas, are ‘recommended’ and mentioned by name in the commentary for their ‘standout contribution’. In our Commercial Litigation team, Partner, Alexander Weinberg, has again been listed as a ‘Leading Individual’ and Senior Associate, Josephine Mathew, as a ‘Rising Star’.

Our Litigation practices are described as ‘fielding an exceptional team of top-quality lawyers, from partners to junior associates, who are regularly instructed on complex corporate and commercial disputes that involve cross-border issues’ (Commercial Litigation); ‘having real depth and breadth in experience for a practice of their size, which enables them to take on the big financial institutions without fear or conflict’ (Banking Litigation); and possessing ‘Great strength in depth. A hugely impressive array of talent at every level’ (Property Litigation).

Accolades attaching to other practice areas include ‘The team are a joy to work with, are skilled at explaining complex themes, are always available and ensure a fair result’ (Corporate M&A); ‘Wallace have a quick understanding of commercial issues and give you confidence that the advice given is positioned well’ (Technology, Media and Telecoms); and ‘The team are exceptional business partners who are expert in their field, work sensitively and with empathy’ (Employment).

We have consistently been recognised for a partner-led approach with a team of experts that are both pragmatic and commercially minded, adapting to a variety of subject matters. Offering our clients, whether longstanding or more recent, commercially grounded advice with a clear ability to come up with legally sound suggestions that balance risk and commercial reality.

It is very pleasing to see public recognition and high praise for so many of our lawyers and teams. The feedback is based on interviews with clients and professionals we work with. It is a great reflection of individual and collective achievement across the firm.
