Wallace receives record rankings and recommendations in latest Legal 500 edition
The 2026 edition of the Legal 500 United Kingdom has recognised Wallace with a record number of rankings and recommendations for our practice areas and individuals.
Following the addition of market leading practitioners, Nicola Boulton and Elizabeth Seborg in the last year, we are now listed as “a firm to watch” for complex Civil Fraud disputes, an offering that nicely compliments our long established and recognised expertise in the commercial litigation and banking & financial services litigation market.
Wallace is also now newly ranked in Employment: Senior executives, to complement our Employment: Employers listing, demonstrating our expertise across the full employment lifecycle in acting for both employers and employees.
The latest edition also ranks 6 of our team individually, showcasing some of the individual talent that we are proud to offer our clients across our firm .
Nicola Boulton is ranked in the Hall of Fame (Civil Fraud). She is also ranked alongside Alexander Weinberg as a leading partner (Commercial Litigation), as is Daniel Isaac (Employment). Elizabeth Seborg (Civil Fraud) and Josephine Mathew (Commercial Litigation) are ranked as next generation partners. Philip Blyghton (Commercial Litigation) is ranked as a leading associate.
Rex Newman, Senior Partner at Wallace, commented on the rankings: “It’s great to once again be recognised in our rankings not only for the work we are known for, but also for the new areas we have achieved success in. It’s a testament to the excellent work of our lawyers and our ethos as a firm to deliver exceptional client service. It is especially pleasing once again to see widespread recognition of individual talent within our disputes practice.”

Highlights of our feedback
“Outstanding team with depth all the way down to paralegal. Superb understanding of strategy and how to deliver the best possible result for the client. Strongly recommend.”
Legal 500 UK, Commercial Litigation: midmarket
“The Wallace banking litigation team is on the smaller side but is first-rate in terms of quality, efficiency, strategic thinking and work product. The team is diverse, well-balanced, technically skilled and with excellent partner oversight and engagement. It packs a punch.”
Legal 500 UK, Banking Litigation
“Deeply practical and always from the human perspective of what is likely to deliver the right outcome, rather than letting the legal process lead the advice.”
Legal 500 UK, Employment Employers
“They are specialists and geniuses at employment law specifically. Every piece of communication we received and that were sent were clear, concise, and really impactful.”
Legal 500 UK, Employment Senior Executives
“Wallace has excellent sector knowledge and experience. The approach taken is a pragmatic one, striking an appropriate balance of legal advice with commercial understanding. The mix of lawyers on any given deal is strong, with a very high level of partner involvement but the support of very high quality associates.”
Legal 500 UK, Corporate & Commercial M&A
“The property litigation and enfranchisement team is one of, if not the best, in London dealing with residential landlord and tenant. There are bigger firms out there, but few, if any, have the in-depth knowledge and experience of the team at Wallace. If there is a leading case on a particular topic in residential L&T, Wallace is often, if not usually, on one or the other side.”
