Charlotte is a consultant in the commercial litigation and banking & financial services litigation teams, focusing on complex, high-value, multi-jurisdictional disputes. Charlotte’s particular focus is on fraud and asset recovery, trust disputes and sanctions matters.

Charlotte advises a diverse international client base including corporates, sovereign states, and high-net-worth individuals on multifaceted, high-stakes mandates.

Charlotte has over 13 years-experience representing clients before courts and arbitration bodies in England and Wales, the Middle East, and numerous international and offshore jurisdictions.

Charlotte has a particular focus on the GCC region (comprising Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the UAE), having previously lived and worked in the Middle East. Charlotte has been recognised as a “Next Generation Partner” by Legal 500 and regularly speaks on key litigation and arbitration issues. Charlotte consistently leads complicated, high-value matters from instruction to trial with clarity, control, and commercial focus. Charlotte is recognised by her clients for a calm, pragmatic, and solution-driven approach under pressure.

  • Representing the claimants in a Lawyer 2025 Top 20 Case pursuing and defending complex claims involving high-value, multi-layered sanctions issues

  • Acting for the claimant, a leading Russian commodities firm, in a $3 billion claim in the Commercial Court

  • Advising the successful Trustees in Lea Lilly Perry and another (Appellants) v Lopag Trust Reg in the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands, and subsequently in the Privy Council

  • Acting for a successful defendant in Tatneft v Bogolubov and others

  • Acting for a Saudi claimant in a $250 million ICC arbitration (English law, seated in Dubai) arising from a joint venture dispute

  • Acting for the Republic of Cuba and the Banco Nacional de Cuba, in their defence of a €70 million sovereign debt claim brought in the Commercial Court

  • Advising on resisting enforcement of a $45 million ICC Arbitration Award before the English and Jersey Courts

  • Managing a large portfolio of construction-related disputes before the Abu Dhabi Commercial Conciliation and Arbitration Centre (ADCCAC) and Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC)

  • Representing the claimant in the first anti-suit injunction to be heard by the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) Court

  • Acting for the Kurdistan Regional Government to challenge a DIFC Court order recognising and enforcing two partial arbitration awards issued by a London-seated LCIA tribunal

  • Acting for a defendant in a claim under section 90 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000

  • Undertaking a six-month in-house secondment at Euronet Worldwide, a global electronic payment and transaction processing provider

  • Assisting on a US$1 billion breach of warranty claim before the LCIA, regarding a Ukrainian steelworks acquisition

  • Acting for a Part 20 defendant airline in the Emerald Supplies Ltd v British Airways antitrust follow-on damages claim before the English High Court arising from a European Commission's cartel decision

  • Acting for various international financial institutions across Europe and the Middle East in relation to multi-agency inquiries, including conducting internal investigations into alleged violations of US sanctions

  • Representing various athletes and a National Olympic Committee before the Court of Arbitration for Sport
