Wallace advises the founders of Peppermint Events on its joint venture with Levy

The Wallace team recently advised Alex Brooke and Adam Hempenstall, the founders of Peppermint, on the sale of 50% of the company to sports and hospitality caterer, Levy.  The corporate transaction builds on an informal partnership that has been running in recent months which saw Peppermint bring its drinks-led support to venues across the Levy sports portfolio, including Cheltenham Racecourse, Tottenham’s stadium and Villa Park.

Peppermint was founded in 2003.  Alex and Adam cut their teeth running student events at university.  The business soon blossomed into providing bar services at boutique music festivals.  Today Peppermint services over 40 events annually, including BST Hyde Park.  Wallace has advised Peppermint on all aspects of its business, corporate, commercial, employment and real estate for over 15 years.

Alex and Adam will continue to run the business alongside Jon Reid, operations director of Levy.

Levy UK+ Ireland is the sports and hospitality arm of Compass Group UK and Ireland, with a portfolio of businesses including Keith Prowse, Payne and Gunter and Lime Venue Portfolio.

Corporate partners John Woodhouse and Charlotte Wheeldon led the Wallace team. Sabrina Mitchell, Katherine Sharp and Alice Curtis assisted on corporate matters. James Williams and Leigh Leach advised on employment matters and Matthew Morgan and Jocelyn Cooke provided property input.

I cannot think how hard it would have been not having you guys on our side, as ever a calm and knowledgeable guiding force to help us get to what we hope is a very exciting next chapter in our company’s history
— Alex Brooke, Founder/Director Peppermint Events
