Development and Regeneration
Our development practice handles complex residential, commercial and mixed-use development sites, from acquisition through to disposals of completed units.
We advise upon development agreements, joint ventures, options, overages, leases, planning agreements, promotion agreements, purchase contracts, conditional contracts and all other agreements which may be required in order to develop the site for disposal.
Our development team of property lawyers works extensively with other specialists within or outside the firm in related practice areas such as construction, planning and environmental, disputes, banking, corporate and tax.
In particular we advise on the following areas:
Acquisition and financing of development sites;
Overage options, clawback arrangements and promotion agreements;
Section 106 Agreements and other planning instruments; and
Development plot sales or advice on structuring should the developer wish to hold the development in the build to rent sector or otherwise.
