Wallace Corporate Team Advises Shaw International Holdings on the Sale of Their 50% Shareholding in Autoprotect Holdings Limited

The Wallace Corporate team acted for Shaw International Holdings Limited (BVI), the vehicle for the founding management shareholders in the sale of their 50% shareholding in the AutoProtect Group (with companies in the UK, BVI and Poland) to existing joint venture partners, Correlation Investments Limited – a South African private equity house.

AutoProtect is a leader in the field of providing insurance products and dealer warranties to vehicle manufacturers and retailers throughout the UK and internationally.

Correlation acquired a 50% stake in the Company in 2004. The purchase by Correlation of the remaining shares allowed the majority shareholders of Shaw to retire from the business.

David Judah led the Wallace team assisted by senior associates Laura Gillard, Rebecca Butler, associate Harsha Ghedia and trainee Sabrina Mitchell.

The professionalism and no-nonsense approach of David and the entire Wallace team were invaluable in managing this transaction to its successful conclusion.
— David Shapiro, Founder and former CEO of AutoProtect
